Table mahjong or tile-matching puzzle?
Matching pairs of tiles is a different game from drawing, discarding and completing a winning hand. World Odyssey offers table mahjong against AI or other players.
Korean or Japanese Riichi?
Korean mahjong uses 104 tiles without the bamboo suit and does not allow chows. Riichi has its own declaration, dora and furiten rules. Complete one ruleset tutorial before exploring another.
Seven regional rulesets
Choose Korean, Japanese Riichi, Chinese Official (MCR), Sichuan, Guangdong, American or Taiwanese mahjong. American mode uses the original Odyssey Card 2026; check which card and house rules your real-life group uses.
