Win circumstances
Visible tiles
Enter discards and opponents’ exposed tiles only, excluding your own hand and melds. Unseen copies are an upper bound, not actual wall counts or win probabilities.
Casual practice rules
An isolated casual round using your 13-tile hand and melds. No rank, gold or existing game saves are affected.
Your chosen rules apply to every seat in this round. The basic practice AI keeps pairs and connected tiles and does not call chow or pung. Practice lasts only in this tab.
How to use
m=characters, p=dots, s=bamboo. z: 1 East, 2 South, 3 West, 4 North, 5 White, 6 Green, 7 Red. Example: 123m 456p 789s 1112z. You can also use the tile buttons.
Waits use the concealed hand without the winning-tile field. Discard and self-draw scores are shown separately. A complete shape below eight non-flower fan cannot win under official rules.
Calculation and practice run in your browser. Shared links include your tiles and analysis settings.
Free MCR calculator without sign-in
The MCR calculator uses the same McrRules engine and McrFans definitions as our standard games. No account or installation is required. Enter the concealed hand without its winning tile, then add exposed melds or concealed kongs separately.
Each meld reduces the concealed input by three tiles, including a kong. Select the winning tile, discard win or self draw, seat and round winds, flower count and any applicable win circumstances. The result lists counted fan and payments.
The eight-fan minimum and flower tiles
A complete shape is not enough: after exclusion rules, the non-flower fan must reach eight. A seven-fan hand with one flower still cannot win under official rules. Flowers add points only after the minimum is satisfied.
Self draw, concealed status, wait shape and the origin of the final tile affect scoring. Lower elements included in a higher element may be excluded. Follow a fan link to see its conditions and exclusions.
Wait analysis and unseen tiles
Wait analysis checks every tile that could complete your 13-tile shape and shows discard and self-draw scores separately, including below-minimum results. Enter visible discards and opponents’ melds to subtract known copies. Unseen counts are upper bounds, not wall counts or win odds.
To compare discards from a 14-tile hand, enter thirteen tiles in the hand field and the final tile in the winning-tile field. The discard comparison removes each distinct tile and displays the resulting waits.
Learn all 81 fan in five languages
Every fan has a public address with conditions, building advice, core tile examples and exclusions. The guide supports Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. The combined exposed-and-concealed-kong rule is marked separately from the official 81.
Start with small combinations such as All Pungs plus Dragon Pung, then verify the complete hand and circumstances in the calculator. Shared guide links open without logging in.
Casual AI practice from your hand
Play this hand against AI carries your concealed hand and melds into a separate one-round trainer. Choose a minimum of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 fan, disable chow/pung/exposed kong, or allow self-draw wins only. Options apply equally to every seat.
The calculator retains the official eight-fan rule. Practice has no rank or gold rewards, does not replace saved games, and lasts only in the current tab. Three basic AI opponents draw and discard; they do not call chow or pung. Use the standard-game link when ready for a regular match.
